Glasgow FrontRunners is an award-winning inclusive community based road-running group with strong links to Glasgow’s Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) community and friends.
Using The Arc Sports Complex at Caledonian University as our base, we have 3 regular weekly runs that take you through the sights and scenes of Greater Glasgow. To help get the most out of your running, we offer runs that suit all abilities (generally split into 4 skill level groups on a Thursday). We have a full range of abilities, from absolute beginners, to advanced competitive runners who undertake half-marathons & marathons.
There are always jogscotland trained Jog Leaders on hand to lead the groups and to guide and advise you individually. Every week there will be a qualified Jog Leader assigned to look after your running group.
Walk to Fitness. Starting in June 2018 is GFR’s Walk to Fitness group. Meeting on Sundays the walking group is for those people who are not ready to run, or are injured, but still want to get fit. Each group will be lead by a walk leader. Sessions will involve walking at various paces, slow and faster to help boost your fitness. There may be a little hill, there may be a few steps, but there will also be lots of fun!
We are not just about running, we like to socialise too!
