This year’s Great Scottish Run takes place on Sunday 6th October and we have last year’s stellar performance to beat! With 10 weeks to go, we’re kicking off our club training for the 10k and half marathon.
Our Sunday runs will have two jog leaders on hand so we can allow half marathon runners to steadily increase their distance in the lead-up to the race.
Thursdays will stay in their current format, however we’ll try and offer a speed/fartlek/hills group each week for anyone who wants to mix up their training and improve speed.
All runners are advised to try and do at least one run on their own a week to help build up towards the race – and our jog leaders can help advise when would be best to do this and give weekly goals.
