Glasgow FrontRunners is an award-winning inclusive community based road-running group with strong links to Glasgow’s Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) community and friends.
Using The Arc Sports Complex at Caledonian University as our base, we have 2 regular weekly runs that take you through the sights and scenes of Greater Glasgow. To help get the most out of your running, we offer runs that suit all abilities (generally split into 3 skill level groups on a Thursday). We have a full range of abilities, from absolute beginners, to advanced competitive runners who undertake half-marathons & marathons.
There are always jogscotland trained Jog Leaders on hand to lead the groups and to guide and advise you individually. Every week there will be a qualified Jog Leader assigned to look after your running group.
Our runs are suitable for runners of all levels, from those looking to start running and get fit, through to competitive runners. If you have not been along before, see our New Runner’s Checklist.
Meet from 6.30pm, get changed for the warm-up starting prompt at 7:00pm. Normally beginners, intermediate and advanced runs each led by Jog Leaders every week.
Meet from 10:30am, get changed for the warm-up starting prompt at 11am. Normally one run catering for all abilities, and employing different training methods.
Glasgow FrontRunners are always looking for new members, so whether you’re looking to try a new activity, improve your running, tone up for the new year or meet a new group of people it would be great to have you along!
Come along and try out the club – after your first week you can move to one of our membership options.
Entitles you to join us at all weekly running sessions, with qualified jogleaders looking after you.
Full annual membership also lets you benefit from discount on individual SAL and jogscotland memberships, liability insurance cover as provided by SAL, as well as full voting rights, and rights of comment on all aspects of the club.
Due to prorating, the current membership fee is £7, then renewal will be yearly from August.
Enjoy all the benefits offered to Standard Members, just a bit more affordable for Students and the Unwaged.
If you decide that neither of the memberships are for you, then simply pay £1 every time you come along for a run. You will, unfortunately miss out on all the great membership benefits though.
Our membership year runs from August and membership fees are reduced quarterly from then.
Fees are payable via bank transfer directly into our account, cash or cheque.
For further information or to request our bank details, contact the club treasurer.

At all times the Club maintains a healthy stock of willing and (very) able, fully qualified jogscotland-trained Jog Leaders. They are all volunteer members, and will do their best to guide, control and protect your Health & Safety during the run.

As the first point of contact for all new members and as representatives of the Club to external organisations, our volunteer Committee Members co-ordinate the activities of the Club and ensure the culture of the Club reflects the aims and objectives of the Club.
Indeed, we meet just inside the main entrance of the GCU Arc Gym – there’ll be other runners and the committee there to meet you and give you any information you need about the club.
Absolutely not – the main ethos of the club is that we are ALL inclusive, we have a number of “straight” members and regular runners.
Yes, all runners can use the changing facilities and shower cubicles at GCU Arc Gym for £1 per run. Lockers are also available for a refundable £1 deposit.
Of course, we have groups which cater for all abilities, starting with a 5km walk/run.
No, we use the facilities at GCU Arc Gym but have an agreement which lets our runners use their changing and showering facilities for £1 per run. Lockers are also available which take a refundable £1 deposit.
