Sunday Run 20 May 11am | Thursday Run 24 May 7pm

We’re the road-running group for Glasgow’s Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender (LGBT) community and friends.

We run each week along some regular routes in Glasgow city centre. We have a eginners (‘run-walk-run’), two intermediate (approx. 5k & 7.5k) and advanced (10-12k) groups, depending on how you’re feeling on the night, and how much running you’ve done before. We have the full range of abilities in the club, from runners who come along for their very first run ever, to racers who undertake half-marathons & marathons.

We meet every Thursday at ‘Arc’ (the Glasgow Caledonian University Sports Centre) between 6.30 & 6.50 pm. The warm-up circle outside the centre starts at 7 pm on the dot. On returning from the run we have a warm-down & stretch. We’re also meeting up now for Sunday morning (start running 11 am) training sessions – hill-training, circuits, etc…

There will always be a jogscotland Jog Leader on hand to advise on and co-ordinate your running. This may involve making sure you are paired up with other runners and don’t get lost on the night, to advice on a training program tailored to your specific needs. Every week there will be a jog leader assigned to look after the beginner’s group.

Changing, locker & cubicle showering facilities are available (£1); towels are extra (£1.50). If you’re a guest (or pay-as-you-go) we charge an additional £1 per run. Alternatively become a member for £25 per annum (£10 concession).

After the run we indulge in the equally important social side of the club… cheap food & daft chat at a regular venue in the City Centre, at approx 8.45 pm.

We’re affiliated to the International Front Runners – one of eight similar groups in Great Britain & Ireland (Manchester, London, Belfast, Northern, Leeds, Dublin &  County Kerry) – and to Scottish Athletics and jogscotland.
